Terms of Service

61Insights is in active beta. Features, pricing, and policies will evolve. We'll communicate material changes through the platform.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the 61Insights platform operated by 61Insights ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

61Insights is a flight training management platform that helps student pilots, flight instructors, and flight schools track training progress, log flights, and analyze instrument approach performance.

The platform is currently in beta. We make no guarantees of uptime, data retention, or feature stability during this period, though we make every reasonable effort to keep the service reliable.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

To use 61Insights you must:

Be at least 13 years old
Provide accurate information when creating your account
Keep your account credentials secure

Access to the platform is by invitation from a flight school (tenant) or through direct sign-up. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law
Upload content you do not have the right to share
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or to platform infrastructure
Interfere with the service's availability or performance
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform in bulk

4. Flight Safety Disclaimer

61Insights is a training aid, not a substitute for qualified instruction or regulatory compliance. Approach scores and performance metrics produced by the platform are generated algorithmically and may contain errors. They are intended to support — not replace — evaluation by a certificated flight instructor. Do not make go/no-go or certification decisions based solely on data from this platform.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of flight records, track files, and other content you submit. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it to you and the authorized members of your flight school, solely to operate the service.

We do not claim any ownership over your training data.

6. Flight School (Tenant) Administrators

If you access 61Insights through a flight school account, your training data is also accessible to instructors and administrators at that school. The flight school is responsible for its own data handling obligations with respect to student records. We act as a data processor on behalf of the school for that data.

7. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. During the beta period, we may change features, limits, and pricing without prior notice, though we will communicate significant changes through the platform's announcement system.

8. Pricing

The service is currently offered free during beta. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, existing users will be given advance notice and a reasonable transition period.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular score or analysis result is accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 61Insights shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $100 if no amount was paid).

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if the service is discontinued. On termination, your right to use the service ceases. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data before account closure.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
